Command your Light Cruiser in real-time space warfare, using physics, advanced battle tactics, or surprise your enemies by ambushing them from a stealthy position.
After building a missile design system I decided I wanted players to be able to follow missile in towards the enemy ships. This camera needed to be flexible but performant.
I decided to add my own to my game it's definitely got a ways to go but it should bring a lot of customization to missiles!
While dumping waste heat is 'simple' it definitely isn't risk free!
Prepare for Intergalactic Warfare: Starlight Brigade Demo Coming Soon!
I spent a good few weeks working on object pooling as well as reducing casts and references. After all of this my games average frame rate jumped from the high 30s low 40s all the way up to the high 70s low 80s
I've started working on AI pathfinding as well as tweaked my CIWS and Missile systems!
Added my new engine plumes (though I need to tweak them a bit) and added collision to the ships so you can ram your enemies!
Blueprints are great but sometimes they leave a lot to be desired performance-wise!
I'm an avid gamer, I'm an even more avid UI/UX Designer. I help build experiences for players through intuitive thoughtful design. When I'm not working on games, you can find me gaming, camping, or even making YouTube videos! I have done a little bit of everything related to game development from 3d modeling, lighting, texturing, gameplay programming, VFX, and audio sheesh!
